As the main image of dj’s playing vinyl and mainly 45′s are to be nerdy, dusty, ancient, recordgazin, non trendy and just plain old we’ll fit in just fine at Gubbrummet i.e. Gubb or gubbe (quick translation) is Swedish for “old man/fellow”. Thats us, dooh. So Gubbrummet – Beware of some older fellows from southern Stockholm playing rusty, scratched old northern very very loud (since our hearing is a bit reduced of time), might even drop in some 60′s funk, tainted roots and more and more uptempo classics from back in the days… or even better, we’re gonna party. Yes. We found a quite pale pale ale called Eko. Still it’s pale in all ways, but it’s in a nice creamy pale drink, perfect for a hot summer evening. And Göteborgs Oceanbryggeriet http://www.oceanbryggeriet.se has made it without common summer-flavas’ like lemon or other shite. Just a plain nice and relaxed ale.
Back again up north for some dancing, drinking and all to the best of music around – the northern, the latin soul, the upbeat afro gems, the lowdown southern soul and some mad summer jazz dancers. I guess we’ll be outside, open air that is… in a park facing the waterside. Sounds good? Come follow? 23-24 july, at Rex Bar, Umeå.

Yes, on friday we’ve back again for some Soulshine under the Danviks-bridge. We’re talking about the finest spot in town. Genuine’s Jens Chreisti with much soul at Boule Berså, 18-22.00 (Just remember to bring cash). Later he will join Mr.Jay at 1900 downtown for some more serious funk, soul and disco business, 21-02.00. Soulshine upon ya’ll!
