A great mid tempo cross over on… yes; Genuine!

Primo and the Groupe – March of the Goober Woober – Primo-07 2010 7″
Sometimes you get stuff in your mailbox that you never thought would be possible, like a cat. And this cat can swing. Primo and the Groupe knows how to throw the funk breaks around in the same style as Speedometer, Soul Investigators, The New Mastersounds. Catchy dance floor groove, big production and a handful of jazz on top. Did we mention their’e from Japan. Next big!

The Ascots – Miss Heartbreaker – MBS
And then we have the already big. A perfected Mir-A-Don production. Harmony and brass-dancer for the lovers!

Freddy-Henchi & the Soulsetters – Popcorn Baby – Tower
Last a rock funkdriven bass heavy grit dancer. A true Genuine kicker. Released 69′ with a take on the Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash on the flip. But the Popcorn Baby borrows a mass from JB. Gritty biz!
Face Records, thanks for borrowing the clip. Check out all the other items for sale here. Cheers mates.

5678 Podcast #3 Disco med Loffe & Lady Midnight by 5678-se
Our mate Lady Midnight aka Calle Hedberg teamed up with Loffe and made this great disco-mix. So go get it. It’s goooood.
And this is the other one – Frankie Nieves – The Terrible on Speed. A big tune that will be served on friday at 1900 with the Genuine 45′s Jens Chreisti and Rickard Masip.
Besides the dancing (thanks Tara in this very groovy hallway) The Stoics delivers some screaming, great fuzz licks and break beats to die for!
Just a few newer ones by Ann Nesby, Anthony Hamilton, Donell Jones, Raphael Saadiq, Jill Scott, Raheem DeVaughn, Chuckii and Joe. Enjoy.
Ann Nesby are sorry, very very sorry and she never ment to hurt you. I apologize, from 08.
Anthony Hamilton has a bit Hard to Breathe, from last year.
Donell Jones knows what’s up. Yes u know!
Raphael Saadiq with the Stevie, Never give you up from a couple o years back. Ok, it’s a lot more uptempo to be herein, but hey. It’s all about love, and got a nice feeling to it.
Jill Scott takes A long walk, and it’s very laidback vibin’ here.
Raheem DeVaughn, is it possible?!
… and then we have Chuckii with Games from 1992.
Joe with the love scene from way back (to be a nu one) 1997… likeable, sweetness. In a old school video-format.

It’s live, and impossible not to like. Isn’t it. With this kinda groove anything moves. Bernard Purdie on the drums, the fabulous Kingpins behind the Memphis-groove master King Curtis.
Sexy soultune from The Vibrations. Instantly fell for the corny text and the rain theme. But it’s nice isn’t it
Here’s another more recent rainy tune. Enjoy. The later one out on Stonesthrow, and we’ve put it up before… but hey. It’s rainy outside so go a head Mayer, spread that love.

Soulful music at it’s best, from the soul of a gospel singer like Naomi Shelton from Alabama, through the cables and editing devices at the Daptone Studios. Lovely piano-dude by the way. The album’s out on Dap since may this year. It’s all gospel, it’s all funky and extremely likeable.
